Update on the Earls

We read everyone elses blog almost religiously. WE love to see and hear how everyone is doing! We were looking at all the new posts a few days ago and thought "Oh no! We haven't even updated ours!" So Sorry to everyone who reads ours. Our lives aren't too interesting, but we think we are pretty great :) So here is an update on what has been going on the last few weeks- in no particular order.

Tyson got his "ultimate Bike computer" all put together! He is so amazing! he first makes the design for the circuit board and orders all the parts. WHen they arrive he solders everything together and continues to work on programming it. Shown here is what he hope it will look like on the bike. It shows Speed, Humidity, temperature, pressure, etc...

He also was offered a promotion at work. What they said was "WE would like to borrow you for 6 months to be a program manager in this other program to get this project done for us." For those who don't know- this is a very BIG deal. They came later and said "would you like to keep the job".

Well Ty is extremely smart and knows about the hours and stress this job would entail- as well as if he accepts the job -he will be the youngest person EVER in halliburton history to every hold that position. He would also be switching programs and would not be doing any more designing at work again. Long Story short- He decided to give it a 6 month trial and give them a better answer then, after working at the job for a while, to see if it is what he really wants.

This is my "sampler" Cake showing the different colors and fillings. I haven't sold any yet- I am hoping the word gets out.
Brooklyn Got invited to a fun tea party for valentines day..Tanner got to tag along too- By the end of the party- tanner was so frustrated with girl stuff he just sat and growled at the girls like a dinosaur. Brooklyn however was in little girl heaven. SHe wore her pretty dress and got to pass out her own valentines.

A friend of mine was over when I was feeding my kids a taco dinner and later said " I was shocked at how all the meals are different- how do you do it!?" Actually- this makes it easier to fix a main meal that my family members can each fix a safe plate. THis meal made me remember that and I took a picture (sorry tantor is in his underwear!) THe meal is spaghetti- Everyone gets the sauce. Ty gets Wheat Noodles with sauce and cheese, Tanner gets the wheat noodles with just cheese, Cristine gets Wheat noodles with just the sauce, Suz get rice noodles with sauce and cheese, Brooklyn gets rice noodles with just sauce. HAHA Anyone want to come for dinner? WE also had Cristines allergist visit and found out she is also allergic to wheat- but it is such a small allergy- the doctor says to give it a 6 month trial (along with dairy) then try to re introduce it. She is also slowly growing out of her egg allergy! She is more allergic to dogs and cats than eggs! On a scale of 1-6 , one being the mildest allergy, here are her results. Peanut 6+, Dog 4, Cat 3, Soy 3, Egg 2, and Wheat 1.

After months of pure torture- brooklyn couldn't take any more of tanner destroying her "stuff" and begged Cristine to let her back into her room. Cristine relented on account that we paint her room more "girl like" So we bought paint and moved furniture. The girls room is OFFICIALY a GIRLS room, where boys are not allowed!

We also had a visit from our guardian angels as brooklyn decided it would be cool to stick this wire into the outlet. SHe chose the only room without outlet covers (of course) she said "did you hear that loud sound? it was scary and a fire went into the floor!"

Tanner had some pineapple and got some on a scratch- when it started to sting he said "I'm allergic to peanut apples!" I explained that no- he wasn't allergic to it and it was a pineapple- then he came home from church with his very own pinecone saying it was his "pineapple and he isn't allergic to it!" Cute!
