Last year Tanner loved all the little millipeds around the house, THis year he decided he liked beetles. Last week however we had homeshield pest control come to kill all our HUGE texas bugs and spiders outside and tanners "friends" met an untimely demise. The poor kid was heartbroken...until he found the snails. Somehow all the bug killer stuff made the snails thrive!They are all tiny right now - which means he can fit quite a few in a handfull.
He goes outside and turns over all my rocks in the morning and collects them- then carries them around all day. Yuck! My new rules are "No SNAILS in the house!" and "you have to wash your hands as soon as you come in" I still find a few in the bathroom though as he sets them down to wash his hands.
So last night I made hamburgers for dinner... When I cleaned up tanners plate I saw that he did not eat his hamburger... instead there were three small snails atop the meat and ketchup. He said he was feeding them... ESCARGOT ANYONE!?
