Learning from my kids...

Ty: "what is the moon made of brooklyn?"
Brooklyn: "Rock....and eggs!"
Me: "Where do the eggs come from?"
Brooklyn: "From the light!"

Me sitting on the couch next to cristine.
Brooklyn: "Mom can you scratch my back?" (I was already scratching cristines back)
Me : " just a minute Cristine asked first..."
Brooklyn: "MOM, you have TWO arms!"

Missionaries: "What is Faith?'
Cristine: " Faith is when you believe something"
Missionaries: " How do you know it is true?"
Cristine: " because you are always supposed to listen to your parents, they don't lie"

Cristine brought home a homemade dictionary from school. On each page she drew something to represent that letter.
Page "M" - a Picture of "mom" (oh cristine! that is sweet!)
Page "N" -she wrote "My mom says "NO"- a picture of me yelling with sharp teeth.
me: "What?!"
Cristine: "Ummm, that must be a different mom!" (yeah right)

What have I learned?
I need to teach my kids where food comes from.
I need to yell less.
BUT my kids can count and know their alphabet cristine knew what faith was!
