The Christmas Season! Wahoo!
I love this season... and once again everytime you link to our blog you can now enjoy listening to my favorite Christmas songs :) Silent Night is still my favorite song- Christmas time or not Christmas time. I have different versions of it on my IPod that I play all year round. It has always been a favorite, but even more so after having my kids. I imagine Mary lying down with her brand new baby exhausted, yet elated and full of joy at bringing this special gift into the world. She would hold him and stroke his soft cheek and downy hair. The scriptures say that she then "Pondered these things in her heart". I think of that as I listen to the song.. of Mary holding her newborn pondering in her quiet silence how Holy this child is, how blessed to be given to have this opportunity as well as her great responsibility to care for Jesus.
I am so Grateful for my own children as they are special gifts given to me to care for. I remind myself often they they are not just our children, but Heavenly Father's children also, and I am so thankful for His trust in me to be given this responsibility.
Tyson and I celebrated our 10th Anniversary a couple of weeks ago! Which is another thing I am so thankful for! For this Incredible Husband I have!! He is amazing! Not a day goes by that I can't thank my Father in Heaven for Tyson! He is such an example to me of Honesty and Strength in all our trials and triumphs during the last 10 years. We seem to have been through everything. I wonder if the next 10 years will be similar- in the way people say having 2 kids isn't much different than one- it is pretty much the same stuff- with a new personality on board. Although we may be surprised and have a whole new set of trials and triumphs. All my kids will be teenagers during the next 10 years. That sounds scary!
AS for the here and now... WE took the kids Ice Skating! It was a lot harder than they thought it would be- and yet they keep asking to go again. They had these tiny little walkers that they could hang on to... I am so glad they had these because I remember getting quite a lot of head bumps and crashes on my behind growing up because of Ice Skating. I also remember freezing too- although my kids got HOt! maybe because I made them wear coats and 2 pairs of socks and it was still 70 degrees outside. The temps are ranging between 50-70 during the day... I like the 70's :) Oh yeah.. and I need to start carrying my camera around everywher so I can actually get picture to post for y"all!

I see you're fitting right in there. Using "y'all" in your everyday language. Good for you! Merry Christmas!
